JAPAN’S FOOD Export Fair will be held from 10th to 12th on October, where various companies and local communities will exhibit their specialty foods, including Japanese matcha and specialty teas.
In the previous time, 306 Japanese exhibitors showed their products and approx. 2,800 international food buyers from 70 countries visited this event. visitors joined this event, resulting in active business dealings conducted. In this second time, approx. 600 exhibitors will join and many visitors will come from more than 80 countries, according to the organizer Reed Exhibitions Japan.
Due to the strong demand for matcha (especially organically produced matcha) many companies will exhibit their matcha and related products.
Recommended tea companies as follows
(1) Oyaizu Seicha International Japanese Tea co. ltd.,
This tea company vends mainly deep steamed green tea produced by particular tea factories in Honyama and Kawane tea estates. Cooperating with skillful tea factories in mountainside tea estates enables Oyaizu Seicha to provide special deep steamed Sencha which has both needle-like shape and rich aroma although deep steamed green tea generally has relative broken shape and less aroma.
Lately this company lines more matcha up according to their products’ information, which produced in Shizuoka prefecture. In the JAPAN’S FOOD Export fair, they will exhibit Shizuoka matcha.
(2) Osada Seicha
Osada Seicha also cooperates with sophisticated tea farmers, who producing tea organically on mountainside on Isagawa region in Tenryu tea estate. We can learn more about the tea estate, “organic village” Isagawa. The organic village Isagawa region This company will exhibit their organic matcha and specialty teas in the booth of “Japan Tea Export Promotion Council”.
(3) Sasaki Green Tea co. ltd.,
Sasaki Green Tea co. ltd., is a tea company in Kakegawa tea estate and one of the most farming-oriented tea companies. Generally tea companies buy crude tea so-called “Aracha” from “Aracha” tea factories managed by tea farmers and process them to loose leaf tea by size-fractionating and roasting. On the other hand, farming-oriented tea companies have their own “Aracha” tea factory and gather row tea shoots from contracted tea plantations. The youtube movie presented by the company shows how tea farmers and Sasaki Green Tea Company produce loose leaf tea from tea plantation to tea factories in Kakegawa tea estate.
