NAITO-EN

NAITO-EN is one of the fanciest tea shops in Makinohara, located on route 150 near the Shizunami beach.

There are a variety of teas in NAITO-EN, especially “Karigane” is the most recommended one. Karigane, one type of loose leaf teas, consists of mainly stem of tea sprouts. Generally such kind of tea is called as “Kuki-Cha”. Karigane is the name for the finest Kuki-Cha, that is composed of stem parts of very younger tea sprouts.

This store has also marvelous hospitality to welcome us by serving a cup of tea.
When I visited, fortunately the owner and his wife welcomed me and served cuppa of “Karigane” and a tiny nice cake.

Inside of the shop is so fancy that we enjoy shopping.
There are many kinds of teas, and pleasant for tea fanciers, we can buy various teas in small portions. Average price of these small portions is 150 yens. We can enjoy tasting a variety of teas in the fixed budget.
