Zagyoso is the mansion where Saionji Kinmochi lived, who is the past prime minister in Meiji era. Now, the restored house of Zagyoso opens to the public.

We can enjoy seeing inside of the Japanese traditional house and having a break with match and confections.

At the entrance, we can offer a set of matcha and confections. Then, we can enjoy the matcha set and the atmosphere of Japanese traditional room.

Kakejiku calligraphy has somehow impressive aura.

Exhibitions are also interesting. The past prime minister preferred sweets such as Amanatto, soy beans sweeten by sprinkled sugar.

Awesome! Shizuoka here! We can find tea-related stuff, such as tea storage box “Chabako” and teawares for matcha preparation.

We can see the Kanji character of tea on the side face of “Chabako” tea storage box in the Oshiire shelf.
