Kaneju Farm Omotesando is one of the most sophisticated tea café-bars managed by tea farmer. This tea café-bar has opened since June 2018 as posted before. In this February, Kaneju Farm will reopen the café with updating its menu from 22th. Unique and trendy beverages and confections will be newly launched.
Based on their press release, they will launch spring menu such as Sakura Sencha, Sakura cheese tea and an unique mocktail “Kaneju Spring Opera” as follows.
Sakura Sencha
Kaneju Farm will launch their original green tea blended with petals of Sakura cherry blossom and leaves. The blended petals and leaves of Sakura cherry could add floral notes and aroma of creamy nuance. And deep-steamed Sencha of Kaneju Farm could provide us with mild mouthfeel and fresh finish.
Sakura Sencha could let us feel the atmosphere of spring before the peak of cherry blossoms blooming!
Cheese teas
Up-to-date and trendy cheese teas will be served by Kaneju Farm Omotesando. As implied by a French beauty Cindy, cheese goes well with deep-steamed green tea. The cheese whipped cream topped with tea could harmonize with the richness of Kaneju Sencha derived by sufficiently deep steaming.
Original tea mocktail “Kaneju Spring Opera”
Lately non-alcohol mixed drink “Mocktail” has been gaining its popularity worldwide. Kaneju Farm Omotesando will launch their original tea mocktail “Kaneju Spring Opera”. This mocktail is made from Kaneju Sencha, apple juice, Sakura petal syrup and Sakura petals.
I’m looking forward to tasting this new tea beverage and sensing the qualia of tea bartender Matsumoto. (I guess the tea bartender Matsumoto in Kaneju Farm will prepare the new mocktail.)
New services
In the reopened café-bar of Kaneju Farm Omotesando, we can experience tea blending by ourselves. Visitors can enjoy blending tea and other ingredients corresponding to our preference based on advices by the staff in Kaneju Farm Omotesando.
Inside of the café-bar
Kaneju Farm Omotesando would delight us by the comfortable atmosphere due to the harmony of modern and traditional architecture. The whole space is designed in modern style. At the same time, we can find “Wabi” grace and “Sabi” elegance in the details, for example, the table is made from Tatami board and “Ikebana” flower arrangement using seasonal plants express the Japanese atmosphere.
Charms of Kaneju Farm Omotesando
There are various excellences of Kaneju Farm Omotesando as mentioned above. In addition, I think the distinctive charm of Kaneju Farm Omotesando is derived from the staff.
The president Mr. WATANABE Tomoyasu is very insightful business person. He recognizes his mission and let staff to perceive the mission statements. Every time I talk with him, I’m delighted with his senses and ideas.
And the tea bartender Mr. Matsumoto has an distinct sense to create various tea cocktails. I think his skill could reach to the art. I’m looking forward to sensing his qualia though his arts of tea cocktails including tea mocktails.

Hi,
I have some KANEJU-FARM DEEP ROAST TEA BAGS.
Can you tell me if there is a lot of caffeine in this tea?
Thank you for commenting! Based on the publication of the Ministry of Education and Science of Japan Government, 1st flush Sencha contains approx. 2.3g of caffeine in 100g dry tea leaf and its infusion contains 20mg of caffeine in 100ml, where 10g of dry tea leaves are brewed by 430ml hot water for 1 minutes.
I think the caffeine content is safe level based on the article of European Food Safety Authority, shown in the link below.
