Kaneju Farm Omotesando Opened Today!

Today, Kaneju Farm opened its tea salon and bar at the backstreet on Omotesando in Shibuya ward, Tokyo.

The sign of Kaneju Farm Omotesando is the plate of symbol mark of Kaneju, which is similar to the plus mark half-surrounded with a right angle. The plate of symbol mark lays on the front of entrance with young tea plants grown on Makinohara upland.

“Kaneju Sencha Gin Tonic”, an unique cocktail of gin and deep steamed Sencha produced by Kaneju Farm, provided me with a delightful and fantastic time after today’s hard task!

Including the atmosphere, everything in the bar is highly sophisticated and well-designed, consistently harmonized with the mind and sense of the owner, Mr. Watanabe.

The menu board is made by wood covered paper, and the table top is made by Tatami board, which express the harmony of the tradition of Japan and modern artistic atmosphere.

The menu on the tea bar time from 17:00 to 21:00.

The menu on the tea salon time from 10:00 to 17:00.

And finally, I met the loose leaf tea of Kaneju Sencha!! Although I have frequently seen the nice appearance of Kaneju Sencha on many pictures posted on facebooks, instagrams and blogs uploaded by tea enthusiasts and Kaneju Sencha lovers, I have never met directly. Unfortunately I have little time to observe the loose leaf tea carefully because of the preparation for the tomorrow task. Next time, I’d like to enjoy seeing the specialty teas by Kaneju Farm.
