The fancy tea event “Tea For Peace” will be held on 21st and 22nd July on the courtyard of the United Nations University in Shibuya ward, Tokyo.
In this event, prominent tea farmers and merchants will exhibit a wide variety of teas and new insights to enjoy tea products as follows.
(1) Tasting 100 kinds of tea
At first, we should buy an event-specific tea cup. The special cup allows us to enjoy tasting a wide variety of specialty teas provided by the exhibitors. We can enjoy discovering our favorite teas.
(2) Special lunch using tea
It seems that we can enjoy special lunch using tea and tea products. On the previous event, visitors could buy the lunch boxes shown in the below.
An example of “Bento” lunch box. There are also various meals of healthy colors in it, resulting in well-baranced diet. Of course, tea products and matcha deserts are included.
(3) Unique Gelatos of Teas and Tisanes
Collaborative works of FLOTO and Tea For Peace will delight us. Now 4 types of gelatos will be served at the event.

(4) Tea cocktails brewed by multiple ways
Multiplication of tea types and ways to brew could create an infinite diversity. In this booth, we can choose tea types and brewing method to try make our favorite flavor. In addition, a guest bartender will create new tea cocktails using multiply brewed teas. Let’s enjoy unique fusions of teas and liquors.
(5) Brewing Art in Tea Rooms
We will experience some new tea ceremony demonstrated in unique tea rooms. In the rooms, the harmony of traditions and innovations will delight us.

Kinezuka family(Naturalitea) in Fujieda tea estate
Kinezuka family has cultivated tea bushes organically without any agricultural chemicals for decades. The pioneer of organic tea farming will provide prominent organic tea.
PEACE TEA FACTORY in Kawane tea estate
Peace Tea Factory has practiced utilization and restoration of abandand tea gardens in mainly mountainsides on Kawane Tea Estate. They will provide “3-years Bancha”, roasty tea of mixture of matured leaves and stems.
The Tea Company in Shizuoka city
The Tea Company is one of the most excellent tea entrepreneures in the United Tea Estates. They also practice the restoration of abondand tea gardens on mountainsides in Shizuoka. Mr. Watanabe, the tea processor in this company, has learned the skill of oolong tea making in Taiwan. His prominent skill creates a subtle series of slightly-oxidated green tea.
