Shizuoka Lunch with Local Tea at Fujinokuni Terrace

Fujinokuni Terrace is a prominent restaurant which provide cuisines using a variety of local foods and some local specialty tea.

The specialty tea is “Hana Iro Oolong tea”, produced by Yamasen co ltd. in Makinohara tea estate as posted before.

Prior to lunch, we can enjoy the aromatic oolong tea with overlooking a beautiful view of Shizuoka city.

There are 7 fixed dishes and 1 lunch set, which is arranged monthly according to each season.

Various foods in season are cooked for the lunch set, such as Maitake and Shimeji mashrooms, Akijake salmon, Beinasu egg plant etc. Especially a baked slice egg plant with 2 types of Miso sauce suits for my preference.

A dessert dish is served after lunch. We can enjoy the dessert with Hana Iro oolong tea, re-filled by the staff.

In the checkout counter, some tea products are displayed for sale. Hana Iro oolong tea and a gift set of loose leaf teas and filter-in bottle. The gift set contains 5 types of loose leaf tea, which consists of teas from major tea estates in Shizuoka prefecture.

On the upper stair of Fujinokuni Terrace, we can overlook a wonderful panorama of Shizuoka city, from the mountainside to Suruga Bay. It is recommended to enjoy the beautiful view after the lunch at Fujinokuni Terrace.
