Fujinokuni Terrace is a prominent restaurant which provide cuisines using a variety of local foods and some local specialty tea.
A glass of a specialty oolong tea is served before lunch like aperitif.
The specialty tea is “Hana Iro Oolong tea”, produced by Yamasen co ltd. in Makinohara tea estate as posted before.
Prior to lunch, we can enjoy the aromatic oolong tea with overlooking a beautiful view of Shizuoka city.
There are 7 fixed dishes and 1 lunch set, which is arranged monthly according to each season.
Various foods in season are cooked for the lunch set, such as Maitake and Shimeji mashrooms, Akijake salmon, Beinasu egg plant etc. Especially a baked slice egg plant with 2 types of Miso sauce suits for my preference.
A dessert dish is served after lunch. We can enjoy the dessert with Hana Iro oolong tea, re-filled by the staff.
In the checkout counter, some tea products are displayed for sale. Hana Iro oolong tea and a gift set of loose leaf teas and filter-in bottle. The gift set contains 5 types of loose leaf tea, which consists of teas from major tea estates in Shizuoka prefecture.
Fujinokuni Terrace can let us enjoy feeling seasons and touching local foods.
