In each tea estate, scenes of tea plucking come to our eyes. And then, we come to find the color difference between tea plantations before and after plucking.

Tea shoots delight our eyes by their mellow green color perfect to harvest.

In this year, the best chance to enjoy seeing the bushes of perfect tea shoots seems to be a few days in the end of April to the fist 1 week of May.

Especially it is very shiny day today! So tea shoots would grow enough.

These perfect tea leaves make me eager to drink full-bodied Sencha of deep steamed green tea.

Tea shops and general stores have started selling 1st flush teas produced on 2nd May, Hachiju Hachiya.

This week is the best period of tea production in 2017! It is recommended to visit to Shizuoka and experience tea-related things, such as enjoying teas in tea cafes, sightseeing on tea estates, shopping around tea stores etc.
