Makinohara city and JA-Hainan annually hold a local tea festival in Makinohara on March.

As same as the last year, tea shoots cultivated in green house are processed by hand making.

Young tea farmers (youth club in JA-Hainan) processed the first flush and brewed for visitors.

In this event, visitors can experience hand-plucking in the green house.

In addition, other farmers and their wives sold agricultural products.

Vibrancy of the open-air market would be a fortunate omen for the tea production in this year.
