As announced in the previous post, the festival of Washoku in Shizuoka prefecture was held on 18th and 19th in February.
In this festival, multihued Japanese foods and traditional cuisines from all around Shizuoka were exhibited, provided and sold.
Of course, teas and tea-related products also!
As you know, “Sushi” is one of the most famous Japanese foods.
Though the general image of “Sushi” is like above, Shizuoka has a variety of “Sushi” as follows.
Each area has also various types of school lunch. We can see the diversity and locality in the school lunch as shown in the below.
As you sea above, there are many schools to serve green tea with school lunch in Shizuoka.
In addition to agricultural artifacts, multihued sea foods are also landed on many fishery harbors in Shizuoka.
Due to the closeness to fishery harbors (e.g. Sagara harbor, Yaizu harbor, Numazu harbor, Mochimune harbor, etc.), we can eat ocean-fresh sea foods in Shizuoka.
“Dashi” stock is one of the characteristics of “Washoku”. Japanese use dried sea foods or agricultural products as ingredients for “Dashi” stock. For example, dried Skipjack tuna, dried mushroom, dried sea weeds etc.
Please enjoy the multihued expression of Washoku with Japanese tea!
