There are tremendous diversity in flavor and style of teas worldwide due to the spanning centuries of craft, thousands of miles of geography and terroir.
In this event, various tea devotees will provide the variety of worldwide teas in respective styles. Of course, Japanese teas will be served in the traditional and modern Japanese styles.
The venue of this event is the traditional Buddhism temple “Sekiun-in”.
The environment and atmosphere of this temple is quite nice.
Now, I have no ideas which teas and styles will be provided.
So I’d like to introduce some Japanese teas in Japanese style in the other events as follows.
The preservation association for the traditional craft of tea hand-processing, so-called “Temomi Hozonkai”, demonstrated their hand-processing and served hand-processed tea in an unique manner.
The mastercraftsman served “Susuri Cha”. In this manner, tea constituents are extracted in a little amount of water ( about 10ml ). So we can enjoy richness of umami and aroma of Japanese green tea.
Tea farmers, tea processors and tea wholesalers served their flagship products.
Professionals demonstrated Japanese traditional art of tea ceremony.
In addition to these Japanese ones, various teas and styles in other countries will be exhibited.
