Traditional Buddhism Temple “Sekiun-in”

Sekiun-in temple is one of the traditional Buddhism temples in Makinohara city.

Address : Sakaguchi 1251, Makinohara city, Shizuoka prefecture, Japan
Access : It takes 10 minutes on foot from Sekiun-in Temple Observation deck in Mt. Fuji Shizuoka airport.

This temple often provide spaces for tea ceremonies and cultural events as follows.

“World Tea Ceremonies” will be held in this temple from 13 to 15 May as one of the programs in World Tea Festival 2016.

Each area of this Sekiun-in temple create calm atmosphere. I can feel “Wabi” grace and “Sabi” elegance.

A big bell is the symbol of Buddhism temple.
