Kikusui Tea Production Cooperative, located on Kikugawa area in Shimada city which is the north area of Makinohara upland, produces good ingredient for loose leaf teas so-called “Aracha” and supply the “Aracha” to tea processors or tea wholesalers.

Tea farmers in Kikugawa region in Shimada city established this cooperative to share the big machine for the mass production of “Aracha”.

They has continued studying a lot to sophisticate the skill to produce much better “Aracha” and the management of the cooperative. Annually they hold meetings to deicide something or discuss such improvement etc.

They has been making efforts to produce better teas, then they got J-GAP in 2015.
Now they are trying to improve the quality of tea plantation management each other. For this purpose, they carried out the observation survey.
