In Shizuoka, teas are so familiar to people that high school students study teas-related products and tea industry based on their curiosity. Besides local banks support their research activities.

On 18th Feb., Shimada Shinkin Bank held the annual conference to share the know-how related to the tea industry that high school students developed with support by Shimada Shinkin Bank.

In this day, two presentations were performed by students in Shizuoka commercial high school and Shimada commercial high school.

Students in Shizuoka commercial high school has conducted various activities to promote teas in many events. They joined a lot of event, in addition, they organized some events in cooperation with teas merchants. In the events of teas sale in Shizuoka prefecture, you may enjoy buying teas with communication with them.

Students in Shimada commercial high school has developed a new sweet named as “Chahakutou” in cooperation with the local sweet store “RyuGetsu-Do” in Shimada city. In addition, they designed various packages for loose leaf teas. Their products are shown in the following picture.

Chahakutou is a kind of syrup jelly containing tea powder. It looks like beautiful due to its semi-transparency and light-reflection. We can by them in “RyuGetsu-Do” in Shimada city.

Their in-depth efforts would create great positive effects on the local economy thanks to the marvelous supports by local companies and Shimada Shinkin bank.
