Two competitions of photo rogaining will be held in Shizuoka in 2016 at this time.
1st one will be held in Shizuoka city on 31th January. 2nd one will be held in Numazu city on 20th March.
Photo rogaining is a kind of cross-country with taking photo at checkpoints, suggesting that we can enjoy sightseeing in addition to the competition in race speed, strategy and navigation technique.
Shizuoka is one of the most perfect place to photo rogaining due to its variety and abundance of wonderful scenes. Other than Mt. Fuji, we can enjoy wealth of nature, such as multihued color of seasonal plants, songs of birds, beautiful falls, rivers and beaches etc.
Benefits from nature is not only landscape, nature in Shizuoka brings us a wealth of foods.
After playing photo rogaining, it is recommended to enjoy local foods specific to Shizuoka such as tea, mandarin orange, shiitake mushroom, sake, fishes, sweet stuff, etc. These food will recover your body and make you satisfied so much!
Although photo rogaining will not be held in Makinohara city unfortunately, Makinohara area is very suitable to the practice of photo rogaining. Makinohara area has also abundant nature benefits described in the past post, in addition, there are many activities we can enjoy in Makinohara city. In the past post, there are photos of tea gardens and scenes in the plateau only. In addition to tea gardens and related nature benefits, Makinohara area has nice beaches like the following photo.
You can see the nice view of beach and pacific ocean at the edge of Makinohara plateau. In a sunny day, we can look Mt. Fuji beyond the beach!
