The World Tea Festival can bring great opportunities to meet prominent business persons in tea industry. I could meet Mr. Kawaguchi of “Shinkoju” and Florent Weugue of “Thes du Japon” in the previous time. The nice meet provided me with further opportunities, for example, I could learn a lot about Gyokuro from Florent in the Gyokuro seminar held by Mr. Kawaguchi in Shinkoju, and recently I could hold a tea event with my tea mates, where Mr. Kawaguchi demonstrated various teas steeping with proper explanation as an invited instructor of Japanese specialty teas..
Besides, vendors may communicate with some prominent professionals who participate the international conference of tea industry held with the festival. I heard that the conference office invites 2 notables, Katharine P. Burnett, who is the Professor in UC-Davice and the director of “Global Tea Initiative” and Manuja Peiris, who is the Chief Executive of the International Tea Committee.
In the previous conference held in 2016, 5 prominent tea professionals were gathered from all over the world.
I hope more tea businesses will join the fair and participants & visitors will be able to exchange the worthy information and insightful opinions. Of course, I’m eager to discuss with the participants and visitors.
