In response to the authors’ passions, many prominent persons of Japanese tea business uploaded their encouraging message for the documentary film on youtube as follows.
Florent Weugue – A French Japanese Tea Instructor on Thes du Japon
As posted before, Florent is the first French person to get the license of Japanese Tea Instructor. Now he sells various specialty teas brought from all around Japan based on his strict judgement at the retail shop on Yanaka region in Tokyo.
In the encouraging message on the youtube, he said that this documentary is the first film in the world to describe Japanese tea from the various perspectives of those who are related to Japanese tea.
Ota Katsunori – Tea Farmer of Kaneta Otaen
Mr. Ota is one of the most prominent tea farmers in Japan. He has won various prizes, including MAFF award, Emperor’s cup etc., in several times. On the encouraging message movie on youtube, he talks in front of the array of prizes.
Especially I love his special Sencha matured at the Akiha Shrine on the top of Mt. Akiha. His philosophy of tea production can impress us. As he announced on the movie, it will be a great experience to visit his tea farms on the Tenryu Tea Estate.
Masanori TADA – the director of TADA Seicha
Mr. Tada is an insightful business person in Japanese tea industry. He is often invited to some seminars related to Japanese tea. In the past seminar, I got some insights from him as posted before. His challenge to extend the world of Japanese tea will go on and we can see some aspects of his challenge in the film.
Mr. Watada – The owner tea master of “ChaChaNoMa” in Omotesando
Mr. Watada is a pioneer of specialty tea business in Japan. He deals with various excellent teas which are produced in the prominent single tea farm or estate using single tea cultivar. When I visited the café “ChaChaNoMa”, I was delighted with the fantastic steeps prepared by Mr. Watada, first second and third infusions of ‘Kondo Wase’ cultivar. He must know the best ways to brew each variety of tea.
Surprisingly we can enjoy eating loose leaf tea itself in ChaChaNoMa. The tea leaf for eating is served with the “business card” of each cultivar, where we know more about the cultivar.
I’d like more tea lover to support this project worldwide The campaign period of this crowdfunding will go on till 13th August.
I hope the Japanese Tea Documentary will provide many people with various benefits such as a great impression, inspiration, business insights, opportunities to communicate with creative persons and so on.
