Kimono Salone 2018 will be held from 5th(Fri.) to 7th(Sun.) at 5F and 6F in Nihonbashi YUITO. In addition to tea ceremony, tea experiences will be also provided in this year!!
The impressive show of “Ikebana” flower arrangement and tea ceremony by Kimono beauties will be also demonstrated in this year. If you are interested in, please see the report and movie of these demonstration in last year.
I’d like to announce experience services related to Japanese tea and culture as follows. If you have some extra time in Tokyo in this weekend, it is recommended to drop in Nihonbashi YUITO.
1. Tea Ceremony Demonstrated and Instructed by Omote Senke
Omote Senke is one of the schools of Japanese tea ceremony, originally derived from a clan of Sen no Rikyu.

2. Experiences of Japanese Tea and “Ikebana” flower arrangement
Instructors of Japanese Tea and “Ikebana” flower arrangement will demonstrate and instruct various cultures and manners related to Japanese teas and “Ikebana” flower arrangement. It will be very rare experience for you.

- Tea experience : 10:30 – 11:00, 13:45 – 14:30, 15:15 – 16:30
- “Ikebana” demonstration : 11:00 – 11:45 and 14:30 – 15:15
- “Ikebana” experience* : 13:00 – 13:45 and 16:30 – 17:15

* Note : Maximum capacity of “Ikebana” experience is fixed to 6 people in order of arrival.
3. Tea Ceremony Experience using “Tatami” Tea Tray
An unique experience will be provided! We can demonstrate a tea ceremony using a small tea tray made by “Tatami”.

- Venue : 5F of Nihonbashi YUITO
- Fee : 500 yen.
- Language : Japanese and English.
(Extra) Dorpping on Ocharaka
Ocharaka is a fancy Japanese tea shop located on the basement floor of Coredo Nihonbashi. Stephane Danton, a French tea merchant owing Ocharaka, and his colleague will welcome you with excellent aroma of blended teas. We can enjoy the aroma of flavored green tea originally blended by Stephane.
Not only flavored tea, Ocharaka lines some unique specialty teas up on the shelf. We can enjoy seeing them.
