New tea flushes began sprouting shown in the headline photo.
Scenes of tea plantation in the winter time is so nice as the “Evergreen tourism” of course. Besides, fresh green view of tea sprouts is perfect to “Fresh Green Tourism”!!
Now tea plants translocate their stored nutrients from their bodies (mainly overwinter leaves) to new flushes.
Taking a look around tea plants, we can realize other plants also began expressing their spring colors.
Still now, white snow remain on Mt. Fuji.
Yesterday it was so shiny and so suitable for running. Running along tea plantations made me take photo of wonderful scenes shown above.
If you visit Japan in the early spring (from the end of March to the beginning of April), I recommend walking along tea plantation to enjoy wonderful views in Shizuoka pref.!! But in late spring(from the middle of April to the beginning of April), most of tea farmers work in tea plantations for harvest, thus please disturb them and please do not go agricultural loads. If you would like to see tea plantations in the late spring, please search some tea tourisms or experience programs of tea. As well as possible, I would like to share such information in this blog.
Note!!
Every photo were taken from loads or public spaces. Only when I support some surveys or observed with the permission from farm owners, I took pictures from inside of tea plantations. So please take pictures from loads or public spaces and please do not take pictures in tea plantations, if you would like to do that. Tea plantations, agricultural farms are owned by each farmers or those who related. Entering into farms without any permissions of owners is prohibited.
Some photo looks like shots from farms inside, but those were taken by using the function of zooming.
